Our Story

CSx is a technology company focused on the management of concussion in sport. We’re based in Auckland, New Zealand.

Our goal is to help find solutions to current issues around concussion management. It is set to become the most powerful tool a sports medicine practioner can call upon to diagnose and manage concussion.

The Team

Murray Bolton

Chairman

Murray has had extensive experience in a wide range of organisations. His experience includes: Vice President in bank and finance for Citigroup in Canada, Mexico and USA. CEO of Rural Banking Finance Corporation of New Zealand. CEO of Brierley Investments Ltd. New Zealand CEO of Skellerup Group Ltd.

In 2013 Murray and Bolton Equities took a major stake in the Blues Super Rugby Franchise. Murray has also been on the Auckland Rescue Helicopter Trust Board of Trustees since 1990.  

Tony Hannon

Director

Tony has had many years investment banking experience covering mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, capital raising, private equity, venture capital and mezzanine finance. His transaction history is extensive with >$5 billion of completed transactions across 20 years.

Tony is the current Chairman of Snow Sports New Zealand, TBD Holdings, Omni Health and Healthpoint Partners. He is a Director of Aotearoa Fisheries, Sealord Group, Radius Care, CBL Insurance Group, and Vomo Island Resort.

Ed Lodge

CEO, Director

Ed is the founder of the business. Prior to founding CSx, Ed has conceived and developed other technology start ups including an altitude simulator company in NZ and the US (working with leading Nike trainers, Athletes,Velocity Sports Performance and Special Forces members) and Wearable Tech with EMG Ltd and now CSx .

Ed's background prior to his involvement with technology start ups is in physiotherapy and sports medicine working with elite athletes and international rugby teams giving him a comprehensive understanding of the issues and opportunities with performance sport as well as the perfect contact base to make those ideas successful.

Martin Weekes

Chief Commercial Officer, Director

Martin, CCO has 25 years international experience commercialising companies in sports, media and technology both as a senior executive and as a Senior Advisor to start ups through to multinational and sovereign wealth funded Government Organisations.

Previously having worked in retailing, advertising  and manufacturing he has operational experience in all business functions and is connected to sport as the ex CEO of Eden Park in New Zealand - the home of Auckland Rugby and the only venue to host 2 Rugby World Cup Finals.

Ned van Geffen

Senior Engineer 

Ned has over seven years experience with software engineering mainly in new product development and has extensive experience in the complete product lifecycle from concept to mass production.

Ned's core focus will be to lead the software development for the technology CSx develops.

Rob Trautvetter

Software Engineer iOS and Android

Rob has over 14 years experience as a mobile & embedded engineer. Previous roles with Navman have seen Rob work with multiple platforms providing extensive experience with implementing software with hardware.

His expertise with servers and cloud storage are key to efficiently delivering the CSx platform and support service across multiple countries.
